Fearless at Work - Canvass & Social

Fearless At Work: Community Canvass + Post‑Canvass Social

Our communities deserve safety, dignity, and the power to stand up for one another — and that starts with us. Join NEW Houston for an afternoon of community canvassing focused on sharing rights education, connecting with neighbors, and building the kind of solidarity that keeps working people strong.

We’ll kick off with a quick training, so every volunteer feels confident and supported. Then we’ll head out in pairs to talk with residents about workplace rights, due‑process protections, and how to get involved in local efforts that defend our communities.

After canvassing, we’ll come back together at the 8th Wonder Brewery for a relaxed social hour to debrief, build relationships, and celebrate the work we’re doing together. Whether you’re a seasoned organizer or brand‑new to canvassing, you are welcome and needed.

What to expect:

  • Brief training and materials provided

  • Canvassing in teams

  • Snacks, music, and community hangout afterward

  • A welcoming, supportive space for all experience levels
