Houston is May Day Strong!
Join us at our weekend intensive Solidarity School as we prepare for May Day 2026 (5/1): No work. No school. No shopping.
Are you concerned about authoritarianism and interested in gaining skills to build people power and stop the billionaire takeover? We want YOU to join us for Texas Solidarity School!
Over a day and a half, we'll develop skills to plan direct actions and work together to coordinate a May Day 2026 event that centers workers over billionaires.
This two-day training is about turning understanding into action.
We’re bringing together labor and community organizers to build the discipline, alignment, and courage needed to stop the billionaire power grab, attacks on working families, meet the threats of authoritarianism and deep inequality head-on.
Grounded in today’s political and economic realities — rising authoritarian control, widening inequality, and attacks on democracy — the training will deepen our shared understanding of nonviolent non-cooperation as both a moral stance and a practical strategy for building people power.
We’ll build shared skills, alignment, and readiness for May Day 2026 and beyond! Solidarity School will blend practice, reflection, and strategy to prepare us for what it takes to win: imposing costs on the powerful, expanding our base, developing new leaders, and forging lasting cross-movement alliances.
We’ll train to do three things together:
Work together: Unite labor and community power to confront shared threats and seize shared opportunities
Act together: Take disciplined, coordinated nonviolent action that shows our collective strength
Train together: Learn to recruit, prepare, and activate more people — multiplying readiness for the site visits and the fights ahead
This isn’t just a training. It’s a moment to align our forces, deepen our discipline, and prepare for the next phase of struggle, together.
